As I look back on my life
And all that I have done.
I remember all the struggles
The battles that I’ve won.

Hope and inspiration
Are destined for a few.
An outstanding individual
Helped me make it thru.

Life with new direction
Is life that starts a new.
A love of growing roses
Your gift to me from you.

This gift that I will treasure
The whole of my life thru.
A life that’s full of roses
Will remind me long of you.

The job that I am given
My mission to complete.
To mentor yet another
This becomes my feat.

Your quest is nearly over
The dream has passed to me.
The rose I’ll cherish always
I’m so in awe of thee.
